It is a true casting coup, for the first time Kareena Kapoor has been signed opposite Emraan Hashmi for the joint production of Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor`s project. It will be a romantic drama and the movie will go on floor in September.
"Proud to share that the Dharma (Productions) and Balaji Motion Pictures joint venture stars Emraan Hashmi and Kareena Kapoor. (It goes) on floors in September 2013," tweeted Girish Johar, head of acquisition and distribution, Balaji Motion Pictures.
Apart from Kareena, another actress will be starred in the movie and Girish Johar will announce the name of the actress very soon. Akshay Roy will direct the movie.
Considering the movies that both Karan and Ekta make, audience can accept novelty.
Kareena will soon start shooting for Prakash Jha's 'Saryagraha' then she has signed Karan Johar's 'Gori Tere Pyar Main' opposite Imran Khan.
Emraan Hashmi will be seen next opposite Vidya Balan in 'Ghanchakkar'.
