Parineethi Chopra in Romance with Ranveer Singh

Shaad Ali, the director of blockbuster 'Saathiya' almost disappeared after the disaster of 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' in 2007 and now after a long gap of five years he is back with Yash Raj Films 'Kill Dil'. Shaad Ali has cast Parineeti Chopra and Ranveer Singh for his next project. 'Kill Dil' is a breezy romance. All these years, Shaad Ali assisted other directors. He has assisted Mani Ratnam in 'Raavan'. But now he has declined to assist any director as he wants to make his own film.

Shaad Ali approached his favorite Aditya Chopra and Adi read the script and liked it. He gave his nod to produce the film. This is Shaad's fourth movie with the production house. Ranveer was already finalized but there has been confusion regarding the female lead. It is heard that Shaad wished to cast Deepika Padukone opposite Ranveer but the production house has already finalized Parineeti. This would be Ranveer and Parineeti's second film together. They have worked together in YRF 'Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl'.

It is learnt that Ali Zafar who was seen in 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' with Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan will also be seen in a pivotal role in 'Kill Dil'. YRF spokesperson confirmed the cast and said, "Yes, this is correct. The film, Kill Dil, is slated to go on floors this October and will release in 2014."
Shaad received the good news of Yash Raj agreed to produce his film just before his wedding to stylist Aarti Patkar. "This week has been very eventful for Shaad - a wedding and a new film. What more can he ask for?" said a source close to the director.

Shaad Ali is expected to bounce back with 'Kill Dil' as he has spent many years to write the script. "He is confident to bounce back with Kill Dil. It's a very good script," added the source.
The film was earlier titled as 'Ek Vanilla Do Parathe' but later changed to 'Kill Dil'.
Ranveer Singh is currently shooting 'Lootera' with Sonakshi Sinha and 'Ram Leela' opposite Deepika Padukone.
Hope, Ranveer and Parineeti's chemistry click at the box-office.
