Sonakshi Sinha made her way into films when Salman Khan picked her for a role in "Dabangg". As Sonakshi has gradually now established herself to be a star by giving blockbusters such as "Dabangg 2", "Rowdy Rathode", and "Son of Sardar"; she is also grabbing the spotlight and media attention more.

Recently she was queried if she had any inhibitions or clauses as to what she would refrain from doing onscreen or off it, pat came the answer from Shotgun junior. She said she would not kiss onscreen, don a bikini or even lobby for roles.
Sonakshi revealed, "I never considered acting as a career. I was never under any pressure to buy a house or a car for my parents. I am happy with the work I am getting on my own merit and I don't need to lobby for any role."
On kissing onscreen she said, "I am not comfortable kissing or exposing and I believe in laying open my cards well in advance so that no one is inconvenienced. Till date, I have been very specific about certain things and my directors have always understood my concerns and played along. I don't think this should pose a problem in the future as well. And if a director wants something like that, he is open to casting other actresses."
She seems to be following the path of her mentor Salman who has a similar clause of not kissing onscreen and has kept it unbroken.
She will recently be seen doing an item number in Sajid Khan's next film titled "Himmatwala" with Ajay Devgan. Therefore when asked about her views on dance numbers she said, "My disco number in the 'Himmatwala' remake is not my first special number. I have already done one in 'OMG' titled 'Go Go Govinda'. And it wasn't like any other regular dance number with skimpy clothes. Rather, it was for Janmashtami and I got to shake a leg with Prabhu Deva."
Sonakshi till now has been paired opposite much older stars and none from among her contemporaries. She has worked with Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan till now. When asked why she does not get roles with the younger lot in the industry, she dismissed it by indicating that 2013 will be different. She said, "That's not true. I am working with a lot of younger actors Ranveer Singh in 'Lootera', Imran Khan in 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2', and Shahid Kapoor in Rambo Rajkumar."
